Risk of Rain has trouble managing its difficulty settings, making the game frustrating to play. Putting it on easy makes the game boring. Ramping up t he difficulty makes it extraordinarily hard, causing enemies to become bullet sponges. There is no middle ground of difficulty. A friend from an online gaming forum recommended Shadowgrounds as a slick-looking game with incredible fighting action. Unfortunately the game available on Steam for PC is Windows-only, which means I'll be limited to playing it at work or at a friend's house.
